Lalibela Yehrehana Kristos Monastery Crypt

In keeping with the somewhat spiritual death related thread, this is where the bodies of pilgrims who have come to this Coptic, very old (1100 CE) monastery in Ethiopia to die are placed. The background is suitably ominous, almost advancing on the bodies. This was taken in a very dark place, amazing that the quality of the image is what it is.

Yes, it has an "end of the world" feeling to it. With everything being pulled down. Somewhere below. Very powerful image.
