Interesting image. The background seems like a place where Paleolithic cave art might be found, but of course the horse is a modern image. The temporal contrast is what draws me to the image, spanning maybe 14,000 years of art depicting animals of importance to humans. In these days of rapid change, it’s comforting to reflect on an aspect of human nature that has remained constant over the millennia.
