Lightworks is a group of fine art photographers who meet monthly to help each other become better artists. This blog site is part of that process where members post images and provide insights about their work.
The lone young girl in traditional Middle Eastern garb stepping out of a semi-dark arched portico into what soon may be a sun-drenched courtyard portends of changes one can hope/pray will happen for her.
Of note is also the sense of depth achieved with one's eye moving from the girl to the darkened room and back out to the sun lit far wall and its unexplained multiple portals.
I would be proud to place a print of this touching image in my studio.
